About the Role
This newly created role is an exciting opportunity to mobilise and lead the delivery of multiple projects and business improvement initiatives across Gallagher’s Australian broking business. You will play a key role in aligning strategy with execution by developing structured delivery plans, coordinating stakeholders, managing risks and dependencies and ensuring change is effectively embedded.
Partnering with senior leaders and operational teams, the role will:
Manage and deliver allocated projects and improvement initiatives, collaborating with teams across Technology, National Operations, Finance, Compliance and Distribution
Develop business cases to present costs, benefits and other key information for effective decision making by the Executive team
Establish and lead effective project teams, ensuring operational, system and behavioural changes are embedded to realise benefits
Support transition from project delivery to business-as-usual operations, including change management and communications
Provide governance oversight, reporting on progress, financials, risks and resourcing
Key Skills and Competencies
To succeed in this role, you will bring:
Significant experience in successfully delivering concurrent projects and improvement initiatives in financial services environments
Strong leadership skills for both direct and indirect reports
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to engage stakeholders at all levels
Analytical, problem solving, and solution design expertise
Ability to work independently, collaboratively and escalate appropriately when required
Understanding of insurance products and insurance broking is highly desirable
Qualifications
Relevant tertiary qualifications desirable
Formal project management qualification (e.g. PMP, PRINCE2, Agile) desirable but not essential
Experience in Insurance broking. Insurance, or Financial Services is highly desirable
