About the Role
As part of our ICT Directorate, you’ll be at the forefront of digital transformation - driving innovation, security, and efficiency across our cloud platforms to support the delivery of critical education services.
We’re seeking a visionary Manager, Public Cloud and Architecture to lead the planning, execution, and optimisation of NESA’s public cloud services and architectural frameworks. This is a strategic leadership role that will shape the agency’s cloud roadmap, ensure alignment with NSW Government policies, and uplift internal capability across cloud and architecture disciplines.
You’ll oversee the Managed Service Provider responsible for cloud operations, lead a high-performing team, and collaborate across portfolios to deliver secure, scalable, and cost-effective solutions that support NESA’s mission.
On a daily basis you will:
Lead the delivery of compliant, high-quality public cloud services and architecture patterns.
Develop and implement architecture roadmaps aligned with NSW Government Cloud and Cyber Security policies.
Drive innovation by integrating emerging cloud technologies into NESA’s systems.
Partner with internal and external stakeholders to deliver cloud infrastructure that meets current and future needs.
Manage multi-vendor environments and ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to high standards.
Build organisational capability through mentoring, training, and knowledge sharing.
Our ideal candidate is a seasoned ICT leader, and will bring:
Proven expertise in cloud-native architecture, DevSecOps, and multi-vendor environments.
Strong leadership and stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to influence and negotiate across diverse groups.
Experience in SIAM operating models and managing cloud centres of excellence.
Strategic thinking with a passion for innovation and continuous improvement.
Tertiary qualifications within a relevant business discipline and demonstrated relevant working experience in a similar role or industry.
A valid Working With Children Check for paid employment (prior to commencement, not required at application.
