About the Role


We are seeking an experienced Manager to work closely with our newly appointed Partner as they grow our local Research and Development (R&D) & government incentives capability.

As a manager, you will lead client portfolios, strengthen relationships, and drive business process planning to optimise R&D funding. You’ll also help shape the future of the practice, mentor junior staff, and further develop your consulting and leadership abilities.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead client engagements to identify and optimise tax incentives and government grants based on innovative technology activities

Build and maintain strong client relationships, delivering exceptional service and strategic advice

Interpret and apply relevant legislation to assess eligible R&D activities and expenditure

Act as the main contact for finance and technical stakeholders, ensuring effective information sharing and collaboration

Provide coaching and support to junior team members

Partner with the new leader to meet practice goals and contribute to business development initiatives

About You

Experienced at Manager level within an R&D tax team, preferably in a Big 4 or Mid-tier environment

Strong communication and relationship management skills

Ability to manage competing priorities and work collaboratively within a team

Comfortable working with technical concepts and translating them for different audiences
