Position Summary
We are seeking an experienced and result-driven Manager Sales and Events to lead and expand our sales efforts, manage event planning and execution, and deliver consistent revenue growth. This is a full-time onsite role requiring a dynamic individual with deep knowledge of hospitality sales and a strong network in both domestic and international markets. The role demands excellent relationship-building skills and a sharp focus on achieving aggressive monthly and annual sales targets.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and implement strategic sales plans to achieve or exceed revenue goals across rooms, weddings, banquets, and corporate events.
Identify new business opportunities through corporate clients, event planners, travel agents, and luxury consortia.
Build strong B2B and B2C relationships with key clients, wedding planners, and MICE (Meetings, Incentives, Conferences & Exhibitions) partners.
Oversee planning and execution of high-profile events and weddings hosted at the hotel.
Collaborate with the marketing team to design promotional packages and digital campaigns aligned with revenue targets.
Ensure high-level customer satisfaction through seamless coordination of sales and event operations.
Maintain and present regular sales reports, forecasts, and competitor analysis to senior management.
Represent The Raj Palace at key hospitality trade shows, networking events, and client meetings.
Requirements
Bachelor's or Masters degree in Hotel Management, Business Administration, or related field.
58 years of proven experience in luxury hotel sales and event management, preferably in heritage or five-star properties.
Strong understanding of Jaipurs luxury hospitality market and its high-value clientele.
Exceptional communication, negotiation, and client servicing skills.
Hands-on experience with CRM systems, hotel sales software, and event planning tools.
Ability to work flexible hours including weekends and public holidays based on event schedules.
Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
Achievement of monthly/quarterly/annual sales targets
Number and value of events booked and executed
Client acquisition and retention rate
Upsell and cross-sell performance
Guest satisfaction scores related to event experiences
