The Fixed Income Division (FID) is comprised of Interest Rate and Currency Products, Credit Products and Distribution. Professionals in the Division assess and actively manage risk, trade securities, and structure as well as execute innovative transactions in the fast-paced and constantly changing global markets. The Commodities Division is a market leader across a broad range of commodities markets, with expertise in areas including client risk management, financing solutions and investor products.
Global Markets Group is the offshoring arm of Morgan Stanley’s Sales & Trading businesses in India. It covers functions across FID and Institutional Equities Division (IED) ranging from those associated with sales, trading, analytics, strats to risk management.
Primary Responsibilities
This role directly supports the NY Foreign Exchange desk. The role includes the onboarding of FX Futures accounts, pre and post-trade support, allocation processing, trade booking as well as resolving disputes with downstream operational teams and systems. The candidate will actively liaise with trade settlement and confirmation teams, as well as directly with clients when needed. Candidate will work very closely with the team in NY and must be able to work NY market hours. The candidate should be a clear communicator who works well under time pressure, can manage multiple priorities and is comfortable raising issues for escalation.
Required Competencies
Candidate must have some previous experience in a sales or trading support role for Exchange Traded Derivatives or Futures. Derivative settlements, confirmations and clearing experience to be considered as well.
Skills Required
• Extremely diligent with strong attention to detail
• Ability to handle stress and pressure of fast markets
• Must be self-motivated, confident and possess excellent communication skills
• Established understanding of derivative products and exchange mechanics
• Excel / VBA for spreadsheet analysis work
