As Manager - Software Engineering you will lead a technical team with techno functional leadership. You manage the team of SW engineers expected to develop, test, maintain and deliver quality software for new/existing Imaging products, thus delivering next generation capabilities in the product lines. Impacts approaches, projects and programs in the functional area or affected business organization and ways of working. Impacts quality, efficiency and effectiveness of own team. Has significant input into priorities. Guided by professional practices and policies that are shaped by the role. The role has moderate autonomy, requiring high levels of operational judgment.

Job Description
Roles and Responsibilities:
Functional leadership of the team, including recruitment, team/talent development, skill set improvement, mentoring and growing engineers in technical career path.
Resource assignment to programs and prioritization according to base cost budget.
Driving the adoption of Scaled Agile Framework and cadence-based software development.
Driving rigorous customer centric development approach and software quality.
Leading change through creative solutions to product and system design issues.
Optimizing team’s participation in all phases of product development.
Collaborating with global teams to ensure consistent strategy to fulfil business goals.
Exploring and leveraging synergies with other modalities.
Be an integral part of the Global Image Generation functional leadership team.
Uses judgment to make decisions or solve moderately complex tasks or problems in areas of operational/product management, technology or engineering. Takes new perspective on existing solutions. Uses technical experience and expertise for data analysis to support recommendations. Uses multiple internal and limited external sources outside of own function to arrive at decisions.
Acts as a resource for colleagues with less experience. Lead projects with moderate risks and resource requirements. Explains difficult or sensitive information; works to build consensus. Developing persuasion skills required to influence others on topics within field.
Educational Qualifications:
Bachelor’ s Degree in Computer Science or Computer Engineering or STEM major.
Required Skills:
12+ years in software product development including software design and development.
6+ years in team leadership, project management or direct or indirect people leadership experience.
Has in-depth knowledge of best practices and how own area integrates with others; has working knowledge of competition and the factors that differentiate them in the market.
Extensive experience with Agile software methodologies like SCRUM, Continuous Integration.
Experience in Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe).
Familiarity with industry software development practices, tools and environments.
Proven ability to work cross-functionally and with global teams.
Demonstrated project leadership and/or people management skills
Proven mentoring and coaching abilities; demonstrated ability to motivate & inspire others.
Excellent communication, influencing skills and ability to gain buy-in for initiatives.
Strong oral and written communication skills. Strong interpersonal and leadership skills. Demonstrated ability to analyze and resolve problems.
Demonstrated ability to lead programs / projects. Ability to document, plan, market, and execute programs. Established project management skills.
Desired Skills:
Experience in Healthcare industry and related software development background.
6+ years relevant industry experience preferably in a regulated software industry.
