Primary Responsibilities:
• Lead Software Engineering team in building high throughput & critical solutions
• Create future product roadmap for tools and software owned by the team in partnership with stakeholders
• Connecting technical roadmaps to measurable outcomes through deep understanding of business and technical goals
• Apply knowledge of our architectures to plan, drive, and deliver key initiatives including, but not limited to, serving platforms and architectures
• Vocally advocating for technical excellence and helping the teams make good decisions
• Participating in architecture discussions and planning
• Develop, coach, and mentor team members to advance their skills and career
• Define standards, methodologies, best practices and ensure their compliance across the team
• Translate complex business requirements into scalable technical solutions
• Provide real time feedback to the methodology team based on experiences with software delivery teams
• Be a change agent and foster a "learn by doing" environment
• Maintaining high morale and motivating the delivery team to go above and beyond
• Maintaining and fostering our culture by interviewing and hiring only the most qualified individuals with an eye towards diversity
• Occasionally contributing to development tasks such as coding and feature verifications to assist teams with release commitments, to gain an understanding of the deeply technical product as well as to keep your technical acumen sharp
• Comply with the terms and conditions of the employment contract, company policies and procedures, and any and all directives (such as, but not limited to, transfer and/or re-assignment to different work locations, change in teams and/or work shifts, policies in regards to flexibility of work benefits and/or work environment, alternative work arrangements, and other decisions that may arise due to the changing business environment). Required Qualifications:
• Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience
• 10+ years of experience in technical leadership experience, planning, designing, implementing, and delivering large projects spanning multiple engineers
• 6+ years of experience in leading software development projects with a distinguished track record on technically demanding projects
• 4+ years of leading/managing people
• 3+ years of demonstrated ability in roles such as a Technical Project Manager, Technical Product Owner, Engineering Manager, and/or Solution Architect in a relevant field
• Strong full stack development experience in enterprise development projects with a product development background
• Experience working in Agile/sprints in a global team setup
• Understanding of incremental delivery and the value of metrics
