At GoDaddy the future of work looks different for each team. Some teams work in the office full-time; others have a hybrid arrangement (they work remotely some days and in the office some days) and some work entirely remotely.
This is an in-office position. You’ll eventually be expected to work full-time in an office location, and therefore must live within commuting distance from your assigned office. If your designated office has re-opened to employees, you will work from this office beginning on your first day. If your designated office is not yet re-opened, you’ll work remotely until leadership transitions the team back to in-office work. Your hiring manager will communicate whether your designated office is open to employees before your first day.
We are seeking a software engineering manager to join our Care Technology and Engineering team. This team is responsible for designs, builds, and supports world class applications to give our Care guides superpowers that delight our customers. You should be eager for a complex challenge of developing a strong continuous-improvement culture and delivering amazing customer outcomes through high-performing teams.

What You'll Get To Do...
• Own end-to-end GoDaddy Help Center technology stack
• This role is hands on and you will be leading through example by delivering well-factored, well-tested, and reusable solutions that last and adapts to changing needs
• Lead your team of engineers by providing both career guidance and technical vision for the product. Your team should feel empowered to tackle big problems autonomously
• Participate in design discussion and use your experience with modern cloud, full stack JavaScript, and UI frameworks to build products that improve every step of our customers experience
• Write efficient, maintainable code primarily in JavaScript, validated with unit and integration tests
• Coach individual contributors on code, design, architecture, career development, and collaboration
• Perform code reviews and participate in suggesting and supporting coding standard methodologies
• Collaborate with product managers and other team leaders on planning and prioritization such as sprint goals, quarterly roadmap, etc.
• Ensure quality patterns, define, publish, and follow metrics to ensure product quality
• Steer dev-ops, release, and on-call activities in support of platforms
• Engage with engineers & stakeholders across GoDaddy to solve problems with broad result (from group-wide to company-wide result)
• Participate in recruiting activities, always increasing the talent density and diversity of our teams.
• Continuously improve your team’s agile practices
Your Experience Should Include...
• 6 + years’ experience as a software engineer
• Experience as a senior engineer or manager helping lead a high-functioning, collaborative team of engineers that delivers scalable experiences.
• Experience delivering high scale production web applications using modern JavaScript frameworks (e.g. NextJS, React, NodeJS, etc.)
• Demonstrated experience upgrading and improving CI/CD processes, especially with GitHub Actions
• Experience with AWS cloud infrastructure and technology, including containerized compute, standard methodologies and appropriate applications of these technologies
• Solid foundation in data structures, algorithms, and software design
• Solid architecture skills, particularly related to web systems, cloud infrastructures, and distributed systems
• Strong communication skills and ability to manage multiple business priorities, while delivering high quality results
• Highly motivated, highly collaborative individuals fit in best here.
• Strong drive to learn and grow and to mentor engineers to do the same.
• Experience in an Agile software development environment.
• Experience in, or strong interest in A/B testing.
• Experience with Contentful CMS is a bonus
