Waverley Council is seeking an experienced an experience Manager, Spatial Data services to lead a dynamic team responsible for managing and analysing spatial and other forms of data related to Crown Lands and property management.

The role
In this role you will :
Lead and mentor a team providing spatial and data analytic services
Maintain and update cadastral databases to accurately reflect movements between Crown Lands estate
Oversee technical support and ongoing maintenance of property data applications including Mapinfo, ArcGIS, Infor Pathway and FME (Feature Manipulation Engine)
Develop and implement data management and quality assurance protocols
collaborate with stakeholders to ensure data services meet operational and strategic needs
drive continuous improvement of data workflows, tools, and reporting capabilities
About you
Bachelor’s Degree in Geographic Information systems (GIS), Computer Science, Business or Management related discipline.
Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a similar role.
Demonstrated leadership capabilities and the ability to nurture and motivate a team to meet performance objectives.
Strategic thinking to ensure solutions and services achieve corporate priorities.
Proven project management skills to deliver data solutions to meet business needs.
Customer service skills to enhance business engagement and service delivery in line with our customer service charter.
Demonstrated experience in engaging and managing the performance of external consultants.
Excellent communication skills including high level competency in negotiation, influencing, presentation, consultation and written skills.
Financial management and budgeting skills to manage operational budget and cost out operational projects.
Sound experience in the application of the Environmental Planning and Assessment Act and other relevant technology and planning legislation and regulations.
Understanding of and commitment to EEO
