About the Role
We’re seeking a strategic and experienced Talent Acquisition Manager to lead SafeWork NSW’s recruitment function and ensure we attract exceptional talent across the agency. In this senior leadership role, you’ll guide a team of TA specialists, strengthen Government Sector Employment Act (GSE) compliant recruitment frameworks, and deliver high quality outcomes across complex and high-risk hiring streams, including Inspector and frontline operational roles.
You’ll shape contemporary recruitment practices, design and deliver bulk campaigns and assessment centres, uplift hiring manager capability, and provide trusted advice to executive leaders. This is an opportunity to modernise, influence and drive excellence in a high profile, high impact environment. You will work closely with the People & Culture Manager to ensure seamless service delivery and alignment to broader workforce and organisational priorities.
About you
We’re looking for a confident, credible talent leader with the following:
Public sector recruitment expertise (essential), including strong knowledge of legislation, GSE compliance and merit‑based recruitment.
Hands on experience delivering assessment centres and large-scale recruitment campaigns.
Ability to deliver strategic guidance and positively influence senior executive decision making.
Exceptional leadership skills, with experience uplifting team capability and performance.
The ability to thrive in complexity, navigating fast paced, high risk and politically sensitive environments.
Experience partnering with leaders on strategic recruitment and workforce planning to ensure talent solutions align with agency needs.
