Global Finance - Tax
Global Finance is integral to HSBC’s purpose and strategy, playing a valued role in managing costs and deploying capital in the most effective way. Our global team of finance professionals partner with the business to provide trusted insights and forward looking analysis; accuracy; efficiency and control to frame and influence business decisions.
We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join the HSBC India Tax team.
Principal Responsibilities
Working with VP Tax on all requirements pertaining to GST to ensure that all businesses are advised to areas for compliance on GST
Working with VP Tax and SVP Tax to ensure full compliance of GST laws
Assisting VP Tax and SVP Tax in relation to HSBC – IDT legacy issue
Customers / Stakeholders
To provide support and guidance to various stakeholders with respect to tax queries
To ensure that Tax Regulators’ queries are appropriately answered
Leadership & Teamwork
Communicate effectively with the line Manager as well as other team members on various aspects relating to the assignments
Maintain and promote team spirit
Operational Effectiveness & Control
Maintain HSBC internal control standards including the timely implementation of the internal and external audit points together with any issues raised by external regulators
Support the team in compliance to accounting policies and control
Requirements
Chartered Accountant with 4-6 years of experience in taxation
A strong written and verbal communicator, used to interacting with colleagues and stakeholders at all levels including senior leadership teams
Minimum Graduation or as required for the role, whichever is higher
