JR 1 Transactions in Investment Banking usually are uniquely structured, involve several counterparties and require extensive documentation. Furthermore, in most of the cases, the transactions are directly overseen and negotiated by the senior management officials of the client. While some transactions demand tight delivery deadlines, others are characterized by prolonged execution periods which result in bunching up of trades. Given the nature of the transactions, the importance and sensitivity attached by clients to the transactions, need for appropriate documentation and unpredictable timelines, it is pertinent to have a dedicated senior legal resource to assist the Investment Banking team in executing these transactions. JR 2 Provide legal advice for transactions in the corporate debt, project financing, equity and equity-linked space. Offer inputs on deal structures based on the extant laws and regulatory framework. JR 3 Identify the right legal counsel appoint them for specific transactions and liason with them for smooth execution of documentation and closure of transactions. . JR 4 Represent HDFC Bank's legal desk during senior level meetings between client, bankers and other counterparties. JR 5 Use experience and understanding of the legal framework across fixed income, equity and currency space to assist the bankers in providing comprehensive investment banking solution to clients Function in close coordination with Credit & Risk, Corporate Legal team and transaction lawyers, ensure effective due diligence and documentation keeping in mind the bank's interest.
