• Responsible for day to day upkeep of all equipment, planning spares implementation within the required standards of quality, cost, time, delivery, and safety parameters. Managing manpower development and deployment.

• Maintenance Manager is responsible for the safe working behavior of the maintenance team and all contractors on the site. The primary focus of the role is the delivery of planned engineering maintenance activities across Mechanical and regulatory compliant asset, also managing all shutdown planning activities.
• Responsible for managing safe working behavior of the Maintenance team and third-party contractors, sustaining a zero-overdue status of investigations and actions.
• Monitoring and adopting engineering standards and procedure published by Global/Regional engineering.
• Preparing Engineering budgets. Controlling equipment repair and maintenance cost.
• Ensure all planned regulatory and statutory compliance tasks are completed on or before their due dates, and accurate maintenance records are maintained in the site.
• Ensure proper utilization of Engineering ERP. Update the history of breakdowns and modifications done if any. Preparation of monthly reports. To co-ordinate with Engineering planner to ensure that the smooth closing of job orders.
• Adhere to Engineering Global KPI. Adopt equipment Reliability framework.
• Establishing and maintaining proper SOP and RA for all mechanical engineering activities.
• Oversee day to day mechanical activities with a strong focus on conducting the activities in a safe manner as per DPW guidelines
• Supervises and directs daily activities to ensure adherence to policies and operating procedures set out by global/ regional team.
• Mechanical Inventory planning and maintenance of equipment.
• Monitor mechanical spares procurement and usage maintain critical spares, consumption pattern and reliability. Prepare & follow-up for Purchase Requisition (PR).
• Maintaining proper records on maintenance, inventory, consumption etc.
• Ensuring the equipment's hired for operations in BU are maintained in good condition and are in reliable condition for regular operations.
• Assisting in procuring and hiring of new equipment.
• Ensure proper documentation and plan regular maintenance of all facilities like Fire Safety / Fire Pump.
• Scheduling and following CM, PM maintenance and look for opportunities to upgrade to predictive maintenance with help of technology and innovative methods.
• Issuance of work permits.
• Participate in the daily planning meeting with Operations department.
• Setting up the scope and manpower requirements (clearly mentioning the skill / qualification of employees) for AMC's/SLA and for contracted equipment.
• Ensure compliance with Safety Engagement checklist and other engagement program.
• To co-ordinate with safety manager to resolve safety-based issues.
• Establish and maintain effective communication with the contractor and internal support function managers (technical, operations, procurement, HR, etc.)
• Utilize knowledge, persuasion, and negotiation skills to resolve critical issues and problems with the Contractor. Should possess reasonable working /managing knowledge & skill to look at mechanical and other engineering disciplines Attending to audit and other action points to ensure closures within targeted time frame Good working knowledge of engineering ERPs and ensuring the ERP process is fully followed and ensure data accuracy Liaising with Dock Safety officer, other statutory bodies and stake holders in general. Legal & Statutory - Ensuring certification of lifting equipment's & gears as per statutory and DP World requirements. Strictly follow statutory compliance and Global engineering Policy. Contribute for the reduction of the waste generation & maintaining record as per statutory requirement. To carry out periodic dock safety inspection & certification of all equipment. Education, Technical Qualifications and Required Skills B.E / B. Tech/ Diploma - Mechanical Engineering. At least 5 years of experience in a relevant sector. Ability to handle crisis and emergencies. Up-to-date with latest technology. Avery good and fast learner Strong communication skills both written and verbal with the ability to write in a clear, concise, and relevant reader friendly style. Be able to work independently in a multi-cultural environment with strong awareness of formal and informal organizational structures. Strong analytical and critical thinking skills. Good interpersonal skills, time management, excellent team building capabilities, planning, co-ordination, and decision-making skills. Computer literate in Microsoft Office applications
