Department Profile
The Fixed Income Division is comprised of Interest Rate and Currency Products, Credit Products and Distribution. Professionals in the Division assess and actively manages risk, trade securities, and structure as well as execute innovative transactions in the fast-paced and constantly changing global markets. The Commodities Division is a market leader across a broad range of commodities markets, with expertise in areas including client risk management, financing solutions and investor products Sales & Trading
From the largest global institutions to innovative new hedge funds, investors come to Morgan Stanley for sales, trading, and market-making services in almost every type of financial instruments including stocks, bonds, derivatives, foreign exchange, and commodities. Our professionals provide liquidity and content to clients around the world, actively assessing and managing risk, trading securities, and planning and executing transactions in the fast-changing markets. What Do We Offer
• You will be part of the data strats team for Fixed Income division.
• Your work touches upon all Fixed Income business. You will have the opportunity to obtain in-depth knowledge of all rates, credits and FX markets globally.
• You will be working directly with the decision makers in different starts team as well as the risk organization
• We are growing department which leads you to be part of the growing team
Role Responsibilities
• You will be required to code in Morgan Stanley specific coding framework which is built on Object Oriented Programming concept
• You will be part of the team and work as an individual contributor with very high performing tech team of IIT’ans in an environment which is highly dynamic
• Expectation will be to talk to different team members globally, understand your piece of work and develop / integrate your solution with bigger model
• You will be actively communicating with multiple trading desk and their strats to feed in your business understanding
Key Skills And Experience
• Engineering / MCA / MS / Master in Maths /Statistics / Economics from top tier college or an MBA in finance with hands on experience in coding
• Expert level coder in Scala / Java or any other mainstream OOP language
• Passionate about making the difference by learning new things
• Good knowledge of models used in fixed Income
• Proven interest in finance and financial instruments
• Strong communication skills
• An interest to use your skills to make a commercial impact
Preferred Skills
• Knowledge of KDB/Q and/or
• Java / Scala coder
• In depth product knowledge of one or more areas of fixed income.
• Knowledge of financial mathematics
