Job Description
Great Lakes Advisors is seeking a Managing Director, Institutional Sales & Client Service to focus on Institutional Clients and Consultants.
Core Responsibilities
• Focus on initiating and coordinating GLA contact with Staff, Consultants, and other referral sources in broader institutional pension fund, consulting, and corporate fund arena to drive AUM growth across firm-wide investment strategies.
• Attain sales goals through coordinated and efficient activity, maintaining a sufficient pipeline of new and existing opportunities, and moving those opportunities forward to close business.
• Act as main Relationship Manager with new and existing client base and be a proponent of the “high touch” GLA client model.
• Focus on new business development through prospects and their consultants
• Maintain assigned client relationships and drive high visibility and communication with clients and their consultants
• Cross-sell additional strategies
• Document all activity within the Salesforce CRM system.
Basic Skills And Requirements
• Bachelor’s degree in Economics, Finance, or Business is required. Advanced degree and/or CFA encouraged
• Highly knowledgeable with investment strategies of all kinds
• Industry experience as part of an institutional investment management sales team
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, etc.), Salesforce, and Advent preferred
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Self-starter with entrepreneurial spirit
• Proven team player
Great Lakes Advisors offers a competitive compensation and comprehensive benefits package which includes: medical, dental, vision, 401(K), and paid time off.
The estimated salary range for this role is $141,000 - $1+0,000, along with eligibility to earn an annual bonus. Actual salaries may vary based on several factors, such as a candidate’s qualifications, skills and experience.
