We are currently seeking an Accounts and Administrative Assistant to join our growing team. This role is crucial in providing day-to-day support to our accountants and ensuring the smooth running of our operations.

Duties

• Financial Reporting: Assist in the preparation of financial statements and reports under the supervision of senior accountants.

• Bookkeeping: Manage various bookkeeping duties for a range of clients, including VAT returns, bank reconciliations, and monthly management reports.

• Software Proficiency: Use accounting software such as Xero, QuickBooks, Sage, and Brightpay effectively.

• Payroll Processing: Oversee weekly/monthly payroll, issuing payslips, RTI submissions, and completing auto-enrolment submissions.

• Tax Responsibilities: Prepare Corporation and Income Tax returns.

• Administrative Support: Handle administrative tasks including filing, client communications, and general office duties.

• Company Secretarial: Assist with company secretarial duties, including the preparation and filing of statutory returns, maintaining registers, and ensuring compliance with legal requirements.

• Ad-Hoc Tasks: Perform ad-hoc tasks as required, demonstrating flexibility and a commitment to the company’s needs.

You will need:

• Educational Background: A degree in accountancy from a UK university, with a minimum 2:1 classification. Please note: We only accept undergraduate degrees obtained from a UK university. Degrees earned overseas or Master's degrees obtained in the UK (based on prior overseas education) will not be considered.

• Experience: Previous experience in a practice setting is preferred.

• Language Skills: Proficiency in Mandarin is essential.

• Computer Skills: Strong capability with Microsoft Word and Excel.

• Organisational Skills: Excellent organisational abilities and meticulous attention to detail.

• Communication Skills: Exceptional telephone manner and confident communication skills.

• Time Management: Ability to manage time effectively and meet deadlines.

Job Types: Full-time, Graduate

Pay: £25,000.00-£30,000.00 per year
