Job Description
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Manual Tester with extensive experience in testing software applications on Linux platforms, particularly within the healthcare/medical domain. This role will involve performing manual tests, designing and executing test cases, and tracking defects in a fast-paced Agile environment. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with various Linux distributions and be comfortable working with defect management tools like Jira, Quality Centre, and others.Key Responsibilities:Perform manual testing of software applications running on Linux platforms.Design and execute test cases based on functional requirements and use cases.Track and document defects using tools like Jira, Quality Centre, Mantis, or similar.Collaborate with the development team to reproduce defects and ensure issues are resolved.Actively participate in Agile sprint planning, stand-up meetings, and review sessions.Work with the development team to enhance test processes and improve overall product quality.Primary Skills:Proven experience in manual testing of software applications on Linux platforms (Mandatory).Strong knowledge of Linux operating systems and basic Linux commands.Familiarity with a variety of Linux distributions (e.g., Ubuntu, CentOS, Debian).Experience using defect tracking and test management tools (e.g., Jira, Quality Centre, Bugzilla, Mantis, or similar).Understanding of testing methodologies, including test case design, execution, and defect management.Secondary Skills:Experience with WinCE / Linux Embedded Device testing.Familiarity with the Healthcare / Medical domain (Mandatory).Proficiency in version control systems like Git or SVN, and experience with DevOps tools like ADO.Understanding of Agile development methodologies and familiarity with Agile processes.Knowledge in Functional & Regression Test Automation tools for web, desktop, or device applications (Nice to have).Basic scripting knowledge (C++, C#, or Python) for test automation or environment setup (Nice to have).
