Fully-supported training for all aspects of the role.
Flexibility of working days and hours each week (within our normal business hours).
Work undertaken may qualify under Practical Work requirements of Bachelor of Engineering (Honours) programme students (Students must confirm with their departmental representative).
Our business designs and manufactures access control devices which are widely-used in public and commercial buildings throughout New
Zealand and Australia.
We are looking for someone to join our production team to help us keep up with demand for our products by contributing to the production process of one of our products.
This process includes:
pre-testing of electronic components
soldering of electronic components onto printed circuit boards
final assembly of mechanical components and electronic sub-assembly to create finished products
This role is paid on a piece-rate basis, completion of the production output required each week will pay $300 and the work should take no more than 8 hours, this results in an equivalent hourly rate of $37.50.
Beneficial skills and attributes of a successful applicant include:
Previous soldering experience preferable but not mandatory
Observant and possessing good attention to detail in order uphold high quality standards by identifying material defects or production errors prior to final assembly
Hours and place of work
Work is to be undertaken at our premises during our normal business hours only, being 9am to 5pm each weekday (except Tuesdays and public holidays).
A regular weekly schedule is preferred but we are able to accommodate flexibility within the business hours stated above.
Free parking is available on site, alternatively our premises are located less than 2km from the Glen Innes train station and the 747 bus route runs close by.

The hours worked in this role may qualify under the Practical Work requirement of the University of Auckland‘s Bachelor of Engineering (Honours) programme (if this is relevant to you, you should confirm this with your departmental representative).
