Manufacturing Engineer : Desford : Up to A GBP 33/hr : Inside IR35 : 18 month initial contract

What You Will Do
• Lead projects focused on developing new manufacturing technology and systems, ensuring they meet People, Quality, Velocity, and Cost targets.
• Identify business opportunities and justify capital investment to senior stakeholders.
• Develop manufacturing process solutions alongside functional teams, employing tools like process flows and PFMEAs.
• Promote lean manufacturing and quality within the business, enhancing efficiency and standards.
• Manage equipment specifications, installation, and supplier coordination to ensure successful delivery and implementation.
• Coach and mentor team members, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and standardized workflows.

What You Will Bring
• A technical or university degree in manufacturing or an engineering:related field, or equivalent experience.
• Facility Transformation experience : Targeted manufacturing assembly improvements to target volume uplift.
• AGV Fleet management experience is highly desirable.
• Proven project management skills, with experience in delivering large complex projects.
• Strong knowledge of manufacturing operations and technology development.
• Excellent problem:solving, decision:making, and critical thinking skills.
• Desirable: Experience with Industry 4.0, IoT, Assembly Automation, and 6 Sigma Green Belt certification.
