ESSENTIAL JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
In this role, you will be a hands-on technician in the Manufacturing Engineering Department and will be the primary support to production in troubleshooting and resolving manufacturing equipment downtime to ensure maximum output
• You will work closely with Production and Engineering to monitor equipment status and performance
• You will be proactive in addressing problems using the appropriate troubleshooting and repair techniques
• You will carefully execute and document all repairs and appropriate adjustments made to equipment and tools
• In addition, you will assess the equipment s performance and repair history and work with engineers to plan a preventative maintenance schedule as well as work on equipment upgrades as appropriate
• Writing maintenance procedures and reports
• Perform and document the preventative maintenance as per schedule and company standards
• Perform equipment Installation Qualification (IQ) protocols
• Execute installations of instruments/equipment and documentation as per requirement
• Maintain the stock of spare parts of the instruments/equipment
TRAINING RESPONSIBILITIES: (REQUIRED)
Complete all assigned and required training satisfactorily and on time
• For people managers, ensure your associates attend and complete all required trainings satisfactorily and on time.
• Ability to train technicians
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
Education and Experience (in years):
• BE/ B Tech in Mechanical/Electrical engineering having 2 + years of experience or Diploma in Electrical/Mechanical engineering having 4+ years of experience.
Knowledge and skills:
• Must have excellent communication skills, written and oral (English)
• Have basic knowledge working with MS Office
• Must have solid understanding of interpreting manuals and schematics and have strong knowledge in mechanical alignment and the troubleshooting of automated mechanical, electrical and pneumatic equipment
• Must have experience working with pneumatics actuators and cylinders
• Familiarity with electrical/electronic components, automation, robotics, sensors, fiber optics and motors
• Basic usage of hand tools and the ability to use multimeters to trouble shoot equipment problems
• Previous work experience in a Manufacturing environment; ability to repair equipment timely under pressure situations
• Ability to trouble shoot equipment performance and issues
• Experience from working in a regulated work environment (ISO/GMP)
• Experience from working in a global environment
• Schedule orientated (able to consistently maintains schedules and meet deadlines)
Physical requirements/abilities:
• Ability to work in manufacturing environment
• Must be flexible to work off-shifts and weekends as per production schedule.
• Ability to lift up to 25 pounds
• Frequent kneeling and bending
Other:
• Having a valid Indian Passport
PREFERRED REQUIREMENTS:
• Ultrasonic welding experience is a plus
• PLC knowledge and experience is a plus
• Experience from working in Medical Device/IVD manufacturing
