The Opportunity

Are you considering relocating to Australia for a better life?

This is an opportunity to join a fast-growing manufacturing company based in sunny Brisbane.

We are offering full company support for relocation and work visa.

It’s a fantastic place to live – don’t just take our word for it, see what others say below:

The Company

Our vision is to build a world-class manufacturing company.

If you’ve done exceptional work in manufacturing, we have the next step for you.

Our company is growing fast and we are scaling up our manufacturing to keep up. We are upgrading our Brisbane plant – moving to a larger site, new layout, adding new processes and equipment. Then we will build a new greenfields plant to support our international expansion.

This growth creates opportunities for high performers to excel.

The Role

We are recruiting for a high-performing Manufacturing Manager.

This role will lead our Brisbane manufacturing team as we expand our factory size, head count, add new equipment and processes, and grow production volumes. You will need to recruit, train and develop the team required to support this growth. You will bring to life a LEAN manufacturing philosophy that sees us simplify and eliminate waste in everything we do.

Key targets for this role in next 3 years include:
• Grow production volume ($50m to $150m)
• Grow shop floor team (50 to 140, 1-shift to 2-shift)
• Develop team leaders and managers to ensure control and enable LEAN
• Drive LEAN transformation program
• Support the relocation to larger Brisbane facility (4000m2 to 8000m2 shop floor)
• Support the install and commissioning of new manufacturing processes
• Improve quality and safety systems

This role reports to our Operations Director and is based in Brisbane. There is a clear progression path into Plant Manager role with full site responsibility. We will provide company support for relocation and work visa for the right candidate.

Ideal Candidate

Our ideal candidate is an ambitious Manufacturing leader looking to make their mark.

You will be passionate about manufacturing, a great people leader, with a strong focus on the shop floor, and drive to achieve results. You will be self-confident, competitive, driven to get things done, and thrive under pressure. You will be a hard worker who leads by example, inspires your team, and likes working at a fast pace. You will be a decision-maker who moves fast, believes in progress over perfection, and is driven to succeed.

We are looking for the following experience:
• Engineering degree in relevant discipline
• Strong career progression in manufacturing (‘clear A-player’)
• Experience leading through significant change (not just ‘steady state’)
• Strong LEAN experience (driving the change, not just relying on consultants)

Why This Role?

This is an opportunity for a high-performing manufacturing leader to put their skills and experience to work transforming and scaling up a manufacturing operation.

Key reasons this is an excellent opportunity for the right person are:
• Autonomy – have autonomy and accountability for your operation.
• Excellence – vision to build a world-class manufacturer.
• Commitment – strong commitment from team and owner.
• Opportunity – opportunity to earn additional responsibility and progression.
