Job Description
Responsibilities:
Perform routine maintenance and repairs on equipment, structural weldments, mechanical piping, and other metalwork items.
Conduct quality control checks to ensure adherence to company standards.
Develop and implement process improvements to increase efficiency and productivity.
Collaborate with other trades and crafts on routine and emergency work assignments.
Maintain accurate records of work completed, including maintenance logs and supply inventories.
Requirements:
A minimum of five years of commercial or industrial Journeyman experience in welding, sheet metal, fabrication, and metalwork.
Valid certification in GTAW, GMAW, and/or SMAW.
A high school diploma or equivalent; completion of a 4-year accredited apprenticeship program.
Clear and concise communication skills to communicate effectively with all levels of the organization in English.
The ability to read, understand, and work from blueprints, drawings, schematics, and sketches.
Proficiency in using trade-related hand and power tools, safety equipment, and protective gear.
The ability to use fabrication techniques such as cutting, forming, shearing, and welding.
Immediate response to emergency situations and calls.
Ability to assist other trades as needed.
Maintaining required licensing or active work cards at all times.
At least 21 years of age.
