We are in the animal health business, partnering with our clients in the areas of Research and Development (R&D) and manufacturing to produce pharmaceuticals for both farm and companion animals. Originally founded in 2006 by a New Zealand chemist with an entrepreneurial mindset, Argenta’s vision is “Healthier Animals, Sustainably”. Argenta now has operations across 6 sites with locations in New Zealand, the United States, Scotland, Spain, and Germany with almost 900 employees globally.


We are currently looking for 5 skilled and capable operators with strong manufacturing experience who are fast learners to help support Argenta’s production team to manufacture Animal Health products, ensuring each product and batch meets quality specifications under cGMP standards of our manufacturing licenses.


Available Shifts:


Day Shift (2): Monday to Friday, 6:00 am to 2:30 pm (8-hour shift)
Afternoon Shift (3): Monday to Friday 2:00 pm to 10:00 pm (8-hour shift)

However, flexibility is required to work shift work and weekends as and when needed.


Key responsibilities:

Be competent in manufacturing and packaging operations for Solid Dose and Liquids, including operating assembly, packing and labelling equipment and performing in-process quality checks.
Troubleshooting mechanical problems and providing feedback to Engineers.
Maintaining a high level of housekeeping and cleanliness within the production area.
Ensuring all equipment used is cleaned, calibrated and lubricated between batches.
Production batch documentation is completed accurately and in compliance to cGMP standards.
Compliance to Health & Safety at all times.

Desired Experience:

Proven experience in production or manufacturing within a GMP environment, with a strong emphasis on quality and adherence to SOPs.
Solid understanding of Health & Safety practices and a demonstrated commitment to maintaining a safe workplace.
Minimum of 3 years of manufacturing experience in pharmaceutical, animal health, food, or a related industry.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills to collaborate effectively within teams.
A natural mechanical aptitude and problem-solving mindset.

Physical fitness is beneficial for this role, including the ability to safely handle items weighing up to 25kg as part of daily operations.


Please note that there will be a pre-employment medical completed as a condition of employment. This role is only open to those who already have the right to work in New Zealand.
