Responsibilities

As a Manufacturing Operator, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our manufacturing processes

You will be responsible for following safety protocols, maintaining equipment, and performing quality control checks

This is a full-time position with the opportunity to start on the 1st shift and then transition to the 3rd shift

– Shift: 1st shift initially (6am-230p), then transition to 3rd shift (10p-630a)

– Follow and observe all safety rules, good manufacturing practices, company rules, and daily instructions from supervision

– Keep all air hoses, ladders, tools, and other equipment off the floor and stored in the appropriate place

– Check all systems regularly to ensure smooth operation and address any blockages

Inspect and clean cyclones and bag filters hourly

– Check all process magnets once per 8-hour shift, log the check, and clean any accumulations

Report any unusual findings to the Supervisor

– Assist the Assistant Operator as needed and report any mechanical or flow problems to the Special Products Supervisor

– Write work orders in the Maintenance work order program for any equipment needing repair

– Complete all daily paperwork on time

– Hang new spouting and fix leaks in old spouting

– Troubleshoot motors and machinery

– Willingness to learn and revise the most current SOPs (Standard Operating Procedures)

– Communicate with production personnel about equipment issues

– Take primary responsibility for buildings and adjacent equipment for Buildings 8 and 8B

Provide assistance in other areas as needed or directed by supervision

– Provide product samples and make quality adjustments in response to results reported by the Quality Control Lab

– Clean up the site after job completion to ensure no contamination of the company’s corn products

– Report any infestation and/or contamination to maintain the quality of our products

– Report all accidents and near misses to contribute to a safer work environment at [Company Name]
