Bournville Manufacturing is the home of Cadbury's confectionary, and we are now hiring for a key role will lead the performance of the production operations in the Plant.

Focused on performance improvement through loss eradication, providing expert knowledge on process and efficiency improvements across SQCDM. Working with the shift based teams, PE’s, edEngineering Managers and wider stakeholders to win the month and win the year.

How You Will Contribute

You will:
• Accountable for developing, executing and owning the long term efficiency improvement plan for area/lines across SQCDM
• Understand all losses and drive GE improvement plan including waste reduction workstreams
• Work with Pes, Shift Leads and Engineering Managers to deliver GE chronic loss workstreams
• Drives IL6S within area/lines through the use of relevant work systems, tools, coaching and supporting the line teams
• Responsible for Autonomous Maintenance progress in line with Autonomous Maintenance plan within area/line through driving compliance of Autonomous Maintenance systems such as Cleaning Inspecting and Lubricating – CIL, Defect Handling/Tagging and Centerline – CL and performing Autonomous Maintenance audits and closing actions identified on time in full
• Own production plans for short and long term planning, working with HUB team to maximise delivery
• Work to reduce planned downtimes - changeovers, cleaning & maintenance
• Develop & own productivity roadmap, delivering cost savings to agreed target
• Work with BD&E team, providing operational input into capital projects and investments.
• Leads / supports investigations of incidents and near misses (safety & quality), ensures organization incidents are shared and, all relevant lessons learnt are applied
• Management, alongside the Shift Leaders of the daily processes and labour to consistently deliver the production plan.
• Line management of a team of Process Engineers.

What You Will Bring

A desire to drive your future and accelerate your career and the following experience and knowledge:
• Strong operational & manufacturing leadership experience in the Manufacturing/Food Manufacturing/FMCG industry with experience in TPM-Total productive maintenance, 5s, LEAN, 6 sigma tools and concepts
• Excellent communication (verbal & written), coaching, and leadership skills in a team-based environment. Demonstrated abilities in Analytics, problem solving and team building
• An Engineer with a strong financial & business acumen, project management skills and Knowledge of industrial maintenance and manufacturing equipment.
