Job Description
The Advanced Numerical Simulation team is a part of the ‘Modeling and simulation’ group under the Airframe department and plays a key role in demonstrating emerging technology readiness levels and developing innovative solutions for design and development of current and future aircraft programmes.
Job scope (core activities):
Linear and non-linear FEM analysis.
Carry out literature surveys and develop industrial and scalable methods for process simulations.
Develop user-defined material models and sub-routines for integration with commercial FE packages.
Evaluate build stresses and predict distortion due to machining, fastening, curing or assembly.
Simulation of multi-physics problems.
Explore digitization techniques such as data analytics for manufacturing process simulations.
Required Domain Expertise:
Thorough understanding of manufacturing and assembly processes for metallic and composites structures.
Knowledge of various material models. Stress analysis of metallic and composite structures.
Hands-on experience with scripting.
Finite element method / finite element analysis (FEM / FEA).
Very good analytical and reasoning skills.
Strong aptitude for problem solving.
Broad technology exposure. Tools: Patran/Nastran, Hypermesh, Abaqus Programming language: C, C++, Python, Fortran (any one preferable)
Experience: 3-5 years
Soft skills:
Ability to work independently & in a transnational team.
Good communication and interpersonal skills
Flexibility & adaptability
