Responsibilities
The Manufacturing Supervisor position is responsible for the production activities and staff on the assigned shift
Coordinate and direct production workflow; ensure quality standards, production efficiencies and timely completion of work orders are met
Troubleshoot and resolve problems related to production, and quality issues; maintain a physical presence in the plant
Direct supervision of the shift’s manufacturing staff
Evaluate and review hourly employee performance
Ensure training of shift’s production personnel; update and maintain training documentation
Review daily production reports
Issue work orders to maintenance; ensure that preventative maintenance is being performed as needed
Ensure compliance with all safety and environmental rules and regulations; create and maintain a safe and secure work environment
Interact with various departments and personnel, including other shift supervisors, set-up team, and temporary staffing agency (when applicable) to assure production requirements are met
Assist with development and maintenance of cost-effective efficiency and quality improvements
Assist Management in executing operating strategies and plans, and achieving company goals and objectives
May require the ability to write routine reports and correspondence
