KnitMesh Technologies, the leading manufacturer and supplier of precision-engineered knitted wire mesh, is currently seeking a talented and experienced Manufacturing Projects Manager to join our team at our Head Office in Holywell, near Chester.

The Role:
We are seeking a dynamic individual to take on the crucial role of overseeing and directing manufacturing and manufacturing support projects. This includes spearheading the development of manufacturing systems like MRP, stock management systems, engineering component supply chain, continuous improvements, new manufacturing product and process implementation (including customer PPAP), setting up new manufacturing locations, collaborating with customers, and creating decision-making frameworks.
In this role, you will collaborate with diverse teams according to the project requirements, including design, engineering, accounts, sales, production, and senior (board level) management. Your primary objective will be to ensure timely and budget-compliant delivery of projects, fostering seamless coordination and communication across all involved parties.
This role has a wide scope, including the following responsibilities:
• Managing operations projects to reduce costs, enhance customer service, drive business expansion, and bolster company decision-making.
• Identifying areas for improvement and presenting project proposals to tackle these issues.
• Leading cross-functional teams dedicated to specific operations projects.
• Handling projects that cover technical, operational, human resources, and commercial aspects.
• Managing budgets for approved projects.
• Traveling occasionally abroad to meet with trading partners, among other duties.
Requirements:
• Minimum of a Higher National Diploma (HND) or equivalent qualification in an engineering field.
• 5 years of experience in engineering or manufacturing roles.
• Proficiency in ERP or MRP systems.
• Understanding of the commercial aspects of manufacturing businesses, such as sales and purchasing.
• Previous experience working in an ISO9001 certified environment.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to work effectively in both office and factory settings.
• Familiarity with industry tools like Lean Manufacturing principles, Six Sigma, and continuous improvement methodologies would be beneficial.
Package:
• Base salary up to £50,000.
• Performance-based bonus program.
• Working hours: Monday to Thursday from 08:15 to 17:00 and Friday from 08:15 to 13:00.
