Marine Mechanic

Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Mechanic to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess strong mechanical knowledge and have a minimum 5 years experience of a variety of inboard and outboard marine vessels, both commercial and pleasure craft. This role is essential in ensuring safety and efficiency for our customers And our own fleet. Westview Marina & Lodge provides staff accommodations and meals.

Duties

Perform routine maintenance and repairs on various types of boats.

Diagnose mechanical issues and develop effective solutions.

Conduct inspections to ensure equipment is operating safely and efficiently.

Maintain accurate records of repairs, maintenance, and inspections performed In an organized daily work order.

Order parts needed for jobs.

Collaborate with team members to improve processes and enhance productivity.

Adhere to safety protocols and maintain a clean work environment.

Requirements

Proven mechanical knowledge with a minimum 5 years of hands-on experience in a similar roles

Strong problem-solving skills with attention to detail.

Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.

Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with team members and management.

A valid class 5 driver's license is required.

Westview Marina supplies a basic set of tools with shop and covered outside working areas. Applicant must also supply your own basic set of tools as well.
