Job Description
We are currently looking for a Marine Engineer to join our teaching team.
The key responsibilities for the role are:
Engaging with students in a learning environment,
Review and update resources and classroom materials,
Create and mark assessments, and
Process student results
About you / He kōrero mōu
To be successful in this role you will need:
Marine Engineer Class 1 (MEC1) qualification which is essential to the role,
experience working as a Chief Engineer in a marine engineering environment,
proven understanding of systems, maintenance schedules and regulatory requirements,
experience in presentation and communication skills preferred; however full support to obtain adult teaching qualification will be provided,
an acceptable level of computer literacy,
experience working as an engineer at sea and/or onshore with fishing/smaller vessels.
