Duties and Responsibilities:

Grade student work (assignments, tests, exams, lab results, etc.) using specific guidelines/answer keys provided by the Immediate Supervisor;
Maintain records, assist in the reproduction of tests, organize course materials, etc.
May assist with proctoring/invigilating tests, exams and quizzes;
May provide consultation and feedback to students on coursework, quality of materials submitted for grading, and other similar matters;
Attend training related to the assigned duties and responsibilities;
Perform other related tasks as required.
Minimum Qualifications:

Completion of academic studies and/or relevant experience appropriate to assigned duties.
Normally an undergraduate student at the University of Winnipeg who has successfully completed a minimum of 30 credit hours.
Successful completion of required training.
Effective oral and written communication skills.
Ability to work independently or as part of a team.
Ability to follow oral and written instructions, marking guides, policies and procedures.
Ability to meet specified deadlines.
Ability to interact empathetically with students.
Capable of performing the duties as assigned.
Additional Requirements

Applicants must be legally entitled to work in Canada.
COURSE EXPERIENCE AND ACADEMIC STANDING ARE CRITERIA; CANDIDATES MUST PROVIDE A TRANSCRIPT OR INDICATE IN THEIR APPLICATION COVER LETTER THAT THEY CONSENT TO VERIFICATION USING UW STUDENT RECORDS. Cover letter required.
The ideal candidate will have completed this course with a B or better in the past. At the very least the successful candidate will have completed at least one other Design or Production class with a B+ or better.
The preferred candidate will be a senior student or within 5 years after graduation who has demonstrated a high proficiency in past Design or Production Classes and who has proven analytical skills. The candidate’s experience in designing and/or building sets/costumes will be factors in consideration. Completion of the course is required. Past enrollment in THFM 3201 Styles in Design is preferred.
THIS COURSE IS DELIVERED IN-PERSON (observing all Public Health directives). TA’s may be required to assist instructors in providing course content remotely either together with the instructor or in facilitating online group work so familiarity with electronic distance communications systems will be an asset. The estimated hours and/or schedule posted may have to be adjusted to meet the needs of changing Public Health circumstances.
