Job Overview:
We are looking for a dynamic Marketing and Brand Manager to lead our marketing and sales
efforts, build relationships within the literary community, and expand our brand reach.
Job Responsibilities:
Offline Marketing
• Brand Awareness: Drive brand awareness through public engagements, promotional campaigns, events and partnerships with key stakeholders.
• Strategic Partnerships: Develop and maintain strategic collaborations with book communities, literary groups and festivals, book bloggers & media personnel and other relevant networks.
• Community Building: Build upon and strengthen The Bombay Circle Press’s reader community and presence in the literary community.
• Event Management: Organize and manage brand & book-related events, author signings, and other community-building events that foster reader engagement.
• Advertising: Explore & execute advertising opportunities. Plan, manage and execute brand-related and book-related advertising campaigns.
Digital Marketing
• Social Media Marketing: Oversee the social media content ideation across social media platforms. Work closely with the Junior Marketing Executive to ensure refreshing and upbeat content for socials.
• Content Development: Work closely with the Junior Marketing Executive to create engaging content for newsletters, blogs, and SEO-optimized articles to drive online visibility.
• Collaborations and Influencer Marketing: Plan, coordinate and manage online collaborations and influencer partnerships to expand brand reach.
• Promotional Materials: Design and distribute promotional materials to support brand-building and book marketing efforts.
Sales
• Bookstore Relationships: Build and maintain relationships with bookstores to support distribution efforts.
• Stocking and Display Management: Work closely with the distribution manager to oversee book stocking, timely restocking, and effective in-store product displays.
• Sales Strategies: Develop sales strategies in line with overall marketing objectives to maximize reach and revenue.
Preferred Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, or a related field.
• 3+ years of experience in marketing and/or sales, preferably in publishing, media, or creative industry.
• Strong understanding of digital marketing tools, social media platforms, and community engagement strategies.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for networking and building partnerships.
• Ability to manage multiple projects, prioritize tasks effectively, and work in a dynamic, fast-
• paced environment.
