Job Summary
We are seeking a highly organized and creative Event Coordinator to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for planning, executing, and overseeing various events, ensuring that each event runs smoothly and meets the clients' expectations. This role requires strong project management skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively with the owner. Working directly with the sole owner of the business, the applicant will work to generate new business with fun and entertaining events that attracts a wide variety of new customers. The Event Coordinator will also leverage digital marketing strategies to promote events effectively.
Duties
• Plan and execute a variety of events, with an emphasis on social gatherings and special events. Communication with potential clients, bands, dj's and other entertainment will be required.
• Collaborate with clients to understand their vision and requirements for each event.
• Develop event concepts, themes, and timelines while managing logistics such as venue selection, catering, transportation, and audio-visual needs.
• Coordinate with vendors and suppliers to ensure timely delivery of services and materials.
• Manage event budgets and track expenses to ensure cost-effectiveness.
• Utilize digital marketing strategies to promote events through social media marketing, content marketing, and print advertising.
• Monitor event progress on-site to ensure everything runs according to plan and address any issues that arise promptly.
• Evaluate the success of each event through feedback collection and analysis for continuous improvement.
Experience
• Proven experience in event planning or coordination is preferred.
• Familiarity with digital marketing techniques including SEO, e-commerce strategies, and advertising sales is a plus.
• Proficiency in using Adobe Creative Suite for design purposes; knowledge of HTML is advantageous.
• Experience with social media marketing platforms to enhance event visibility.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines.
• Excellent communication skills both written and verbal are essential for effective collaboration with clients and vendors.
• A proactive approach to problem-solving with strong attention to detail.
