The Opportunity

Our Australian Steel Markets business is looking for a Marketing & Communications Specialist to join our Marketing team either based in Mascot or Port Kembla. As BlueScope continues to grow as a business, we continue to strengthen and develop our people. We need to ensure we have the right mindsets, capabilities and skills to create and inspire smart solutions in steel to strengthen our communities for the future.

In this dynamic role, you will contribute to the growth of top and bottom-line performance through managing and optimising key marketing support systems and programs, and supporting communication campaigns and the management of key strategic brands. Gaining invaluable exposure to various exciting marketing projects, you will work with our iconic Australian brands, such as COLORBOND® steel and TRUECORE® steel products.

You’ll work alongside a supportive, experienced, and diverse team where your ideas and contribution will be valued and encouraged. Based in either our Port Kembla or Mascot office, you will have access to free on-site parking, access to health and wellbeing initiatives including Finess Passport and Employee Assistance Program (EAP).

What Will You Do?

As a valued team member of the marketing communications team, you will be responsible for:

the management and delivery of key customer and marketing support functions including our Warehouse Management System, point-of-sale, merchandising, collateral and asset management
supporting the Marketing Team across key administration duties including budget management, stock management and forecasting, process management of systems and project management tools
supporting customer co-operative marketing initiatives including the management and execution of process, allocation of resourcing and managing and advising on incoming campaigns.
providing reporting and measure return on investment for implemented marketing activities and look for opportunities to enhance the process
actively communicate and manage key stakeholders including Sales and support Brand Managers and Segment Managers across all marketing communication elements
assist and support cross channel marketing and campaign messaging across media including social, digital, eDM, print, OOH, events and promotions, targeting key audiences

With your consumer and/or business to business marketing experience, you are proactive, self-driven and enjoy working collaboratively within a team. In addition, you will bring:

high level of organisational and administrative skills, attention to detail with a customer focus and commercial mindset
process orientated, with the initiative to optimise and create efficiencies
a willingness to learn and demonstrate an ambitious and optimistic approach to tasks
excellent stakeholder management skills with confident communication, managing internal stakeholders and external agencies
proven experience with activating communications and communications campaigns
demonstrated experience in project and events coordination management
