Position: Marketing Coordinator

Reports To: Marketing & Communications Manager

Location: Nita Lake Lodge, Whistler, BC

Employment Type: Part-Time, Seasonal Contract

Position Summary

The Marketing Coordinator supports Nita Lake Lodge’s marketing efforts with a primary focus on promoting Food & Beverage outlets—including The Den, Cure Lounge & Patio, Fix Café, and Creekbread—as well as The Spa. You’ll work closely with the Marketing and Communications Manager and Assistant Marketing Manager to execute engaging content, campaigns, and promotions that elevate the guest experience and support departmental goals.

In addition to F&B and Spa-specific initiatives, this role also provides general support across the broader marketing portfolio, including internal communications, event promotion, and brand initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

Create, schedule, and publish social media content (Instagram, Facebook) for daily specials, events, menus, and seasonal promotions.

Support marketing campaigns for F&B events (e.g., themed dinners, wine tastings, holidays) and Spa offerings (e.g., seasonal promotions, package launches).

Collaborate with F&B and Spa teams to gather content (e.g., menus, photography, updates) and coordinate timely promotions.

Assist in the creation and distribution of email newsletters to F&B and Spa subscriber groups.

Support broader marketing initiatives including digital signage updates, in-house promotions, and print collateral.

Attend and assist at on-site events, media visits, or photoshoots as required.

Participate in marketing meetings and help coordinate communication across departments.

Contribute to performance reporting by tracking engagement metrics, campaign results, and guest feedback.

Perform additional duties as assigned by the Marketing and Communications Manager.

What We’re Looking For

High School Diploma required; post-secondary coursework in Marketing, Communications, or Hospitality is an asset.

1+ years of experience in a marketing, social media, or communications role (preferably in hospitality or tourism).

Strong writing and editing skills for both print and online content.

Proficiency with social media platforms, email marketing tools, and basic design software.

Creative thinker with excellent time management and attention to detail.

Able to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.

Flexible availability, including evenings and weekends as needed.

Photography/videography and editing skills are an asset.

Knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite and graphic design is an asset.
