Job Description
What you will do:
Coordinate and produce deliverables, including RFPs, RFQs, EOIs, roster applications, qualifications packages, etc.
Write and edit proposal content including executive summaries, project descriptions, qualification summaries, project methodology and resumes and other content required.
Coordinate and manage large pursuit teams of sub-consultants and ensure their submissions meet RFP requirements.
Search bid sites to identify, summarize and present opportunities to the principal for consideration.
Participate in interview planning and presentation rehearsal with design teams and help develop strategies, themes, and presentation materials.
Conduct research and compile information regarding existing and prospective clients, competitor activity, and industry or market trends to aid in the development of marketing plans, proposals, and presentations.
Develop and maintain a network of industry contacts, i.e., consultants, contractors, colleagues, clients, etc.
Attend community and industry events and conferences to cultivate leads and gather intelligence through networking.
Liaise with Architectural publications and manage publications in print and digital journals (Dezeen, Architectural Record, Domus, Detail, Dwell, ArchDaily, Arquine, etc.)
Contribute to other activities within the Business Development team as required, including marketing activities.
What you bring to this role:
Knowledge of the local architecture market.
Bachelor’s degree in marketing/communications or design-related field.
3-5 years of experience in relevant copywriting/marketing/communications within the Architecture/Construction industry is required.
Strong interest and knowledge of the architectural design culture and a willingness to immerse yourself in the building industry.
Demonstrated superior written and oral communication skills, with strong editing and proofreading skills.
Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite is required with strong graphic design sensibilities.
Proficiency with InDesign.
Personable and willing to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
Strong organizational skills and an ability to prioritize and complete simultaneous projects with minimal supervision.
A thorough understanding of effective document and presentation production and an in-depth understanding of proposal and presentation psychology.
Legally entitled to work in Canada and currently living within commute distance to Vancouver, BC, V6J 1K7
