William Lamb was founded in 1887, its headquarters is on the original site in Wakefield, where there are offices and a relatively large warehouse. Turnover is circa £30m, with 85 UK employees, 20 overseas. Importing approximately 6 million pairs of licensed, branded and unbranded footwear and accessories, and its own POD brand, William Lamb supplies the UK and International markets with its stable of brands and licensed products.

An opportunity has arisen to appoint a Marketing Executive who will manage all aspects of marketing within the William Lamb Group. This includes brand management, wholesale marketing support to the many customers who buy licensed product from William Lamb, along with managing own brands B2B and digital channels and social media.

The Marketing Executive will also be responsible for driving sales growth on web-platforms, including drop ship vendors, Amazon and own websites for POD and LAMB boots.

Working closely with the Head of Merchandising, Sales and Category Managers, this role will be pivotal in driving the performance and growth of UK E-Commerce channels to achieve optimal online sales and profitability.

Duties & responsibilities of the Marketing Executive

Manage all aspects of marketing within the William Lamb Group to raise the profile of the William Lamb and house brands, using social media and PR and managing a strong presence and sales growth in digital channels via own websites and B2B marketing.

Key Responsibilities:

Brand Marketing

· Implement, and monitor the marketing strategy for the wholesale William Lamb and house brands including owned brand POD.

· Develop the seasonal marketing calendar to support all aspects of the business to deliver brand aspirations and sales targets.

· Prepare seasonal brochures to promote products for the William Lamb Group.

· Manage all aspects of photoshoots creating appropriate content for print, web and video communications across all media channels.

· Create brand documents that showcase values, direction, seasonal inspiration and products.

· Initiate and execute new campaign ideas, incentives, product launches, brand events, and promotions to ensure maximum, relevant exposure to drive sales.

· Manage the production of marketing materials, including leaflets, posters and flyers, copywriting and proof-reading and arrange for the effective distribution of all materials.

Digital Marketing

· With the support as required of external agencies, maintain web and social media platforms and grow sales in line with budget.

· Work closely with the Head of IT to ensure that digital marketing is represented within the wider IT strategy.

· Day to day management of the b2b component of the William Lamb web site (online wholesale showroom), growing sales and revenue.

· Day to day management of the POD website, growing sales to budgeted levels.

· Day to day management of LAMB boots website and sales.

· Managing content on Amazon website.

· Updating product information, refreshing content, writing regular blogs and press releases, processing orders and answering customer queries.

· Stay current with trends in social-media marketing, identify new opportunities relevant to the business and communicate within WLG.

· Administer digital marketing campaigns (Google search, Google display, FB, LinkedIn, Bing, TikTok)

· Provide in-depth monthly reporting, analysis to stakeholders, including website performance (Google analytics).

· Maintain and update corporate accounts (FB, LinkedIn, Twitter, TikTok).

· Review and update content strategy for SEO and inbound marketing.

PR

· Create PR presence for the business and brands through trade and social media.

· Develop networks and relationships with relevant third-parties to build awareness of the William Lamb business.

Skills & Experience

· Proven work experience in marketing and/or business development, ideally 2-3 years.

· Possess excellent planning, organisation and communication skills with the capacity to keep track of multiple project streams.

· Creative with the ability to develop and present compelling and innovative marketing materials.

· Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

· Proven ability to establish and maintain effective and harmonious working relationships with customer partners, fellow employees and external suppliers.

· Competent user of social media to drive brand awareness and sales.

· Proficient with E-commerce platforms such as Shopify and web analytics tools, especially Google Analytics.

· Experience of growing sales on digital channels.

· Expert user of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).

· Experience of managing a marketing budget.
