Auxiliary Business Marketing Instructor
September 2, 2026 - December 16, 2026
Duties: College of the Rockies requires an auxiliary instructor to teach two sections of MKTG 281 Principles of Marketing within the Department of Business Management. This is a first-year marketing course for students in the Adventure Tourism Business Operations program (Golden) and Business Management Program (Cranbrook). These courses are taught in a face-to-face and online format.
Qualifications:
Required:
Master's degree in business
An undergraduate degree in business, marketing, or a closely related discipline
Five years of full-time work experience directly related to the subject area.
Or
Master's degree in a related area where combined with an undergraduate degree in business, marketing, or equivalent and at least five years full time work experience directly related to the subject area.
Preferred:
A record of scholarship or experience in marketing, management advertising or the field of sustainable business practices.
Two+ years teaching in post-secondary,
Experience teaching in a variety of delivery methods and a demonstrated commitment to the academic needs of all students.
Provincial Instructors Diploma Program or Indigenous Adult Instructor Diploma
As an employee of College of the Rockies, the successful candidate is expected to be a lifelong learner who continues to develop their skills to help the College meet the needs of our students and our other valued clients.
Successful candidates may be required to complete a Criminal Record Check.
Salary: As per the Faculty Salary Schedule and depending on qualifications, instructional and related work experience, the salary for auxiliary employees is $44.89 to $60.26 per hour (this includes 16% in lieu of benefits and vacation).
