Full job description
Lead Unloan's marketing performance team

Flexible on location - Sydney, Brisbane or Melbourne

Hybrid working and competitive employee benefits on offer

About Unloan

Unloan is reimagining home loans in Australia. We're a digital-first lender built by CommBank, built from the ground up to make home loans easier to get and easier to live with.

We've built the foundations and now it's time to scale. That's why we created a new role: the Marketing Performance Lead.

Why this role exists

We're looking for a Marketing Performance Lead to take Unloan to the next level. We're not looking for just a media buyer, we're looking for a strategic enabler that's obsessed with improving the performance of our marketing and, most importantly, of our people.

This is a hands-on leadership role. We're looking for an expert-doer who also loves developing and empowering others. You'll drive strategy, shape how we grow through paid media, coach a team of strong marketers to operate at an even higher level. You'll partner with stakeholders across Unloan and the broader CBA Group to ensure performance is not just an execution function, but a strategic engine that moves the business forward.

You'll also define how we experiment, how we measure impact, and how we learn and continuously empower the team to foster a growth-mindset.

What you’ll do

Lead and grow the marketing performance team. Setting focus, enabling execution, and coaching individuals to sharpen their craft and growth their impact.

Foster a culture of ownership, feedback and continuous improvement. You're a player-coach who raises the bar for thinking, execution and collaboration.

Provide proactive, regular coaching. Consistently help team members to develop stronger judgement, communication and decision-marking quality.

Own Unloan's paid media strategy across all relevant channels. There is no channel where performance isn't relevant, the right metrics just need to be defined.

Define and own the media experimentation and incrementality roadmap. Ensure we're testing the right things, move fast and learn from every outcome.

Uphold performance-thinking across Brand and Creative. Bring a performance lens to messaging, formats and feedback loops.

Champion a clear measurement framework to further sharpen our we test and how we grow the business in a cost-effective manner.

Embody a growth mindset. Challenge assumptions, seek feedback, and lead with clarity and curiosity.

What we’re looking for

7+ years in performance and growth marketing; leading small teams with big remits. Ideally have previous experience in start-ups and digital growth businesses.

Deep experience in marketing science, experimentation, and optimisation of marketing funnels.

Highly proficient in measurement frames, can confidently provide clarity to the team by measuring what matters.

Deep experience across all paid channels including search, social, programmatic, YouTube and affiliates.

Strong technical fluency across the Google stack, pixels, conversion APIs, client and server-side tagging and attribution tools.

Track record of coaching and developing others, both managing outcomes and growing capability.

Analytical and hypothesis-driven, sees data as a decision-enabler, not a reporting function.

Proactive mindset, you don’t ‘wait for permission’ to fix a problem or test an idea.

If you have the right skills and experience, please apply today!
