Job Summary:
Established in 1++6, we are one of the growing logistics companies in India, headquartered in Kolkata, West Bengal. We offer a wider range of logistics services.
We are on a hunt for Business Development/ Marketing Specialist who is go-getters & hard working. A flare to grow in business operations. This position will closely work with the management to capture the organizational goals.
Your new role will be to focus on:
1. Growing the business- new business acquisition, to offer best in class, executive level management solutions to customers who are currently underserviced from their current service provider.
2. Responsible to look for the creditworthiness of the clients.
3. Administer concurrent sales initiatives from the proposal stage through customer acceptance and implementation.
4. Focus on value-based selling in which a customer develops a long-term partnership with the company.
5. Increase revenue by maximizing profits through price strategies & margin control.
6. Generate revenue by procuring new customers through prospecting and face- to-face meetings.
7. Achieve Set Targets related to business development and contribute profitability to the Organization
8. Responsible for identifying market trends and competitive rate actions and communicating those trends to the management team
+. Responsible for identifying the competitive service strengths and weaknesses of the company and making recommendations for continuous improvement initiatives
10. Responsible for understanding pricing and cost components associated with proposed solutions
11. Responsible for filing e-tenders and documentation.
What you'll need to succeed
1. Minimum 5 years of Business Development or Marketing experience in the freight forwarding industry is mandatory.
2. Bachelor's Degree in Commerce or related discipline.
3. Excellent communication skills (Written & Spoken - Business & Local Language)
4. Effective sales, customer service, interpersonal, negotiation, and client handling skills.
5. Good market knowledge of the transportation and logistics industry required.
6. Experience in handling the queries & escalations of clients if any
7. Proficiency with Microsoft Office Products required.
8. Ability to lead and develop overall organization.
This role will be highly rewarding as it will include salary, commissions, and bonus.
