COS is seeking a full time, experienced Marketing Specialist - Social & Content to join our business development team. Salary offered will be $73,150pa plus super.
As a Marketing Specialist - Social & Content, you will be responsible for developing and managing content across various platforms, ensuring alignment with COS' marketing strategy and business goals. Also include planning, developing, producing and maintaining content for specialist catalogues, marketing campaigns, social media, product brochures, and digital channels. You will collaborate with multiple departments including category management, stakeholders, design and digital teams, to ensure that content is accurate, engaging, and supports sales and brand positioning.
Key Responsibilities include:
Content Development & Management:
- Create and manage content for 8 specialist catalogues printed and e-catalogues (including Education, Diaries, and Back-to-School) and MOS catalogue version
- Develop and update product flyers, brochures, and specification sheets to support marketing campaigns and drive sales
- Write and publish SEO-driven articles for COSpedia and other content platforms to engage consumers and promote attributes of our products and services
- Oversee content accuracy and compliance with brand guidelines across marketing materials
Social Media & Digital Content:
- Develop and manage a social media strategy for Linkedln, ensuring regular updates and audience engagement
- Schedule and publish content across COS' social platforms, monitoring performance and engagement
- Maintain COS' YouTube presence, ensuring updated and new videos are uploaded as required
Marketing & Customer Engagement:
- Manage supplier-paid ad placements, ensuring strategic alignment across catalogues, social media, and email marketing
- Collaborate with suppliers to develop compelling ad creatives that enhance engagement and drive conversions on social platforms
- Analysing marketing briefs and start working on a plan to include all digital, print and all other channels which can help towards the company’s and clients objectives
- Review and update COS' FAQ pages and chatbot interactions to enhance
- Contribute to email marketing campaigns by supporting content creation for campaign messaging
- Schedule and manage ad placements in alignment with product launches, promotional periods, and peak sales cycles
- Manage and update website pre-headers to align with new catalogues, key announcements, and marketing priorities
- Assist in market research and competitor analysis to refine social strategies and identify new opportunities
- Enhancing awareness, planning & developing effective social media strategies in collaboration with key stakeholders for supplier ads to align with campaign objectives
Performance Tracking & Reporting:
- Produce monthly performance reports for social media, COSpedia, and other marketing initiatives
- Monitor and optimise content strategies based on engagement metrics and feedback
Monitoring & Optimisation:
- Track engagement metrics, such as impressions, clicks, shares, and conversions, to evaluate content and campaign effectiveness

- Doing thorough market research based on the campaign results and identifying opportunities/market gaps which can help improve client presence
- Stay updated with industry trends and social media algorithm changes to proactively adapt strategies for optimal performance.
The Marketing Specialist should have:
- A relevant Bachelor’s degree in Marketing or related industry
- At least 1 - 2 year’s work experience as a marketing specialist and managing content across various platforms
