QUALIFICATIONS

Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Public Relations, or a related field.

3-5 years experience in marketing, communications, and event coordination.

Experience in the nonprofit or developmental services sector through work or volunteering required.

Strong project management and strategic planning skills.

Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.

Proficiency in social media, digital marketing tools (e.g., Mailchimp, Google Analytics), Canva, Chat GP, CoPilot, and other AI tools as well as Microsoft Office Suite.

Knowledge of branding, public relations, and stakeholder engagement.

Ability to lead teams, manage project budgets, and meet deadlines.

High attention to detail, sound judgment, and adaptability in a dynamic environment.

JOB SUMMARY:

The Marketing Specialist is responsible for leading and executing comprehensive strategies that promote a variety of products, programs and events at Community Living Toronto, overseeing marketing strategies, digital engagement, and some event marketing. The role supports organizational goals related to fundraising, Social Enterprise, digital products and program promotion through integrated marketing strategies, effective stakeholder engagement and sales or subscription campaigns.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Strategic Planning & Financial Oversight

Develop annual strategic marketing plans aligned with product and program goals and approved budgets. Monitor and evaluate marketing activities and campaigns, report performance to program leads and senior leadership. Ensure compliance with CLTO branding standards, ethical fundraising practices and CRA regulations.

Collect stakeholder and audience feedback and adapt strategies as needed.

Branding & Messaging

Lead branding initiatives for assigned products and development of new brands. Provide branding guidance and training to staff and stakeholders

Work with internal teams to embed CLTO’s values and messaging into public-facing marketing campaigns and products

Marketing

Develop and execute integrated marketing campaigns to promote products, services, programs, and fee-for-service options.

Oversee the creation of print, digital, and video production including brochures, reports, donor and customer communications, and promotional materials as required

Manage digital presence for specific products and campaigns, including social media, website development, SEO, blogs, and email marketing.

Social Media & Digital Engagement

Develop and execute social media strategies and campaigns that grow reach and foster engagement with diverse audiences

Create content calendars, monitor engagement, and interact with online audiences.

Analyze digital metrics to optimize performance and inform strategy adjustments.

Event Marketing & Coordination

Plan, promote, and execute marketing plans in collaboration with internal and external stakeholders. Coordinate logistics and post campaign evaluations.

Attend sector events and conferences; represent CLTO at community events to build awareness and foster partnerships.

Conduct surveys and adjust strategies based on feedback to improve future marketing efforts.

Program & Product Support

Promote specialized services by developing targeted campaigns and partnerships.

Collaborate with program teams to co-create tailored messaging and marketing tools that reflect audience needs and program impacts.

Leadership & Supervision

Provide day-to-day leadership and mentorship to the marketing team. Develop clear work plans, performance goals, and professional development opportunities.

Maintain regular team communications, ensure collaborative work culture, and support cross- departmental initiatives.

Job Type: Full-time
