Job Description
Citi’s Transformation team is looking for a leader to serve as SVP of its Markets Transformation initiatives. In this role you will manage key deliverables and drive critical change across Capital Markets Businesses.
The ideal candidate will have a strong delivery mindset to help drive the successful implementation of key initiatives within this Program. They will also have a solid capital markets background with the ability to collaborate with a wide range of internal and external stakeholders and specialists. This is a leadership role at Citi and candidates must have command of both technical and business subject matters to influence and manage key stakeholders at Citi.
Key responsibilities
Partner with the Business, Product Control and Market Risk to implement strategic solutions for the firm.
Work closely with the Markets Securities and Services (MSS) Technology team to ensure that the data is accurate, complete, has proper data lineage, and help steer the overall data governance.
Represent MSS Transformation across various streams of work to ensure the timely delivery of key initiatives, milestones, issue tracking, and issue remediation.
Deliver on key externals commitments to the regulators.
Effective communication with key stakeholders, both internal and external to the program / project, including obtaining buy-in for business process and infrastructure changes.
Liaison and clear communications with external parties, including clients and regulators as appropriate.
Develop and deliver presentations to senior management covering project / program status, resourcing and plans
Lead, supervise, help coach more junior team members.
Knowledge and Experience:
Demonstrable experience in managing and executing on complex data programs including the sourcing, transformation, enrichment, and governance of trade data in a business role.
Knowledge of Front Office market structure and trade flow across a range of markets trading products.
Knowledge and experience of structured project management techniques in a front office environment
Knowledge of Risk methodologies/frameworks and demonstrable appreciation of the need for and impact of controls, thresholds, and Data Quality rules plus fundamental data terminology
Demonstrable experience in trade processing front-to-back, risk and control, markets, operations, and support & control areas (e.g., Finance, Risk) within a large bank/dealer
Knowledge of global markets trading products (Fixed Income, Equity, Currencies & Commodities) and/or securities services (Prime, Collateral, Clearing, Custody, Fund Services)
Skills and Competencies – Must be able to demonstrate extensive experience of:
Strong project and program management skills; ability to gain consensus among project team and stakeholders, and drive initiatives to completion effectively
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail
Management and facilitation to achieve objectives, with both local and with remote teams
Strong interpersonal, influencing and leadership skills to mobilize and motivate delivery in a co-operative and collaborative working environment across trading and support/infrastructure/control functions
Expertise and hands-on practitioner expertise in designing and implementing structured business/operational processes and business requirements documentation
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, to effectively produce procedural documentation and communicate with senior management. Ability to seamlessly communicate complex technical issues to non-technical colleagues
Qualifications:
College/university degree education or equivalent experience
10+ years appropriate industry knowledge & delivery track record is essential.
