We are seeking a passionate and experienced Massage Therapist to join our esteemed faculty as a Program Instructor. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering our comprehensive massage therapy curriculum, which integrates both Wester therapeutic techniques and Traditional Chinese Medicine principles. this role involves classroom instruction, practical skills development in a lab setting, and the supervision of student in our on-site public clinic.
Responsibilities
Deliver engaging and informative instruction in a variety of subjects, including but not limited to: Swedish and deep tissue massage, remedial massage therapy, anatomy, physiology, and kinesiology.
Foster a positive and supportive learning environment that encourages student success.
Evaluate student performance through a variety of assessments, including practical examinations, written tests, and assignments.
Provide constructive feedback and mentorship to students.
Participate in curriculum review and development to ensure our program remains current and meets the highest educational standards.
Supervise students during their clinical practicum, ensuring a safe and professional environment for both students and patients.
Maintain accurate student records and submit grades in a timely manner.
Qualifications
PVls must employ individuals who are qualified to provide a program of instruction. PVls must meet all instructor qualifications prior to hiring an instructor.Each instructor must provide the PVI with proof of the following:
(A) At least 12 months of occupational experience in the vocation of program instruction, and a bachelor's degree from a university in Canada, or an equivalent university outside of Canada that is related to the program of instruction.
Or (B) 24months of occupational experience in the related.course or program of instruction, and, Must have graduated in a subject related to the course or program of instruction from the following:
i. A community college in Manitoba or an equivalent recognized institution outside of Manitoba.
ii. A registered Private Vocational Institution, or trade, or vocational institution registered elsewhere in Canada or an equivalent instruction outside of Canada.
Or(C) 36 months experience as an instructor in that course or program at a recognized institution. 48 months' experience in the vocation, if they are high school graduates.
If an instructor has foreign credentials, the PVl must ensure that the instructor meets the equivalent Canadian standards.
