Responsibilities
Under general direction of the Director/Manager of Plant Operations, or their liaison, leads and directs all plumbers and other support staff in the operation, maintenance, repair, and installation of the plumbing infrastructure in a safe, effective, and efficient manner in response to or in support of the customer's needs
In addition, functions as a Special Project Coordinator by performing system analysis and monitoring and/or coordinating the activities of contracted service or construction companies as they perform their services
Trains other trades personnel during the start-ups of newly constructed or renovated areas, new equipment installs or from yearly in-services
Responsible for installing and maintaining dust barrier when performing job duties
Must fill out completed work orders and/or daily time sheets and turn them in daily
Monitors and maintains required supplies and tools in a neat and orderly fashion insuring that proper inventory is maintained, tools are functioning properly and readily accessible and that the work/production areas are in a clean and neat manner as evidenced by management or regulatory observation
Notify management of needed supplies in a timely manner by filling out material request forms
Repair to plumbing fixtures throughout the facility
Preventative Maintenance assignments on required equipment
Maintaining hospital sewer system including drain maintenance
Trouble shooting supply water problems and correcting
Reading and understanding facility mechanical blueprints
Installation of new equipment (fixtures and systems)
Performing design, layout, ordering, repair, and installation work to the plumbing infrastructure
