Position Summary
Shantilal Muttha Foundation (SMF) will be working in collaboration with the Govt of Maharashtra for state-wide implementation of its flagship program “Mulyavardhan’ in all Govt and Govt Aided schools. SMF is looking for individuals with excellent training skills and prior experience of working with the Govt. system, preferably in the school education sector, to undertake the training of teachers/resource persons/Govt officials at the district level.

Job Location: Pune. Required to travel in districts of Maharashtra.
Designation: Master Trainer
Reporting to: Head of Capacity Building
Responsibilities
1. Actively support HOD and curriculum dept in designing need-based capacity building programs, content
development, case studies and training modules.
2. Conduct online/offline training for State and district resource group members as per plan.
3. Document capacity building, handholding visits and maintaining records regularly.
4. Compile, analyze, discuss and finalize District-wise specific capacity building needs in consultation with the HoD
and Program team.
5. Capacity building and mentoring of SMF field teams through conducting joint classroom observations and need
based training programs.
6. Provide mentoring support to CRC/CRPs through joint classroom observations.
7. Identify and support champion teachers to develop community of practice.
8. Conducting frequent field visits to project schools to:
o Conduct classroom observations.
o Understand challenges/ difficulties of teacher in implementation of specific activities.
o Support teacher to overcome challenges identified.
+. Support program team in identification and documentation of good practices and case studies
10. Attend Shiksha parishad (Cluster level teacher) meetings periodically to facilitate and understand quality related
matters.
11. Support M&E team in collecting qualitative information, as needed.
12. Prepare and submit reports about the developments made towards achieving planned objectives and quarterly
and annual reports within the specified time.
Knowledge and Skills required:
· Excellent spoken and written communication skills in English, and good facilitation skills in Marathi and Hindi.
· Excellent Presentation/ Delivery skills
· The ability to relate to trainees at all levels
· Multi-task and adhere to strict timelines
· Excellent interpersonal skills with an ability to encourage and motivate people
· Hard-working, self-starter and team player reflecting strong commitment towards work
· Strong documentation skills
· Advanced proficiency in computer skills (MS Office)
· Knowledge or understanding of the national policy documents on education, principles of education and child
psychology will be an added advantage.
Educational qualification:
A Bachelor’s/ Master’s Degree in Education, Social Sciences, Social work, Development studies.
Experience:
1. Experience in the field of Education and teacher education.
2. 4 – 5 years of experience in capacity building /training, and post-training support
3. Experience of hands-on training with teachers and other stakeholders through facilitation and participatory
workshops (mandatory)
4. Experience of content writing, designing training modules and testing (desirable)
5. Conducting Training need analysis
