About the Math Innovation Specialist role
We at Ahmedabad international School (AIS) are looking for a Math aficionado to devise and lead an activity-based math program at the school. To make math learning interesting and contextual we are creating a Math Lab space! The idea behind Math Lab is to allow students to get into deeper exploration of the ongoing concepts in their math class. As a Math Innovation Specialist, you will be involved in curating grade-wise Math lab programs while also creatively facilitating these practical learning experiences with the support from our Math department. We can already visualize the space very soon becoming a favorite with our students across grades!

Job role and responsibilities
• Designing and implementing the math lab curriculum in collaboration with the grade level teachers
• Facilitating Math Lab sessions
• Curating best-in-class math resources aligned to the requirements of different grade levels
• Developing math lab into an inspirational environment of math learning for students and teachers across the school
• Designing and sharing strategies with other math educators to enable them to implement hands-on math learning in their classrooms
Preferred Qualifications/Skills
• A deep passion for Mathematics as a subject area
• Creative desire to make Math approachable for students
• Prior experience in having taught Math to children of ages 6 to 14 years in a progressive school / learning environment
• Great communication skills (English) - both verbal and written
• A degree in Education/Mathematics is not compulsory but can be a plus.
