Mathematics Teacher

Meritus Academy is offering competitive rates for teachers who are capable and passionate about their subjects and can commit to the work schedule.

The rate starts minimum $65 per hour and up to $80 per hour for in-person classes and minimum $55 per hour and up to $70 per hour for online classes (negotiable based on teachers' experience, background and enrollment).

We are currently looking for teachers who can teach any of the following:

• Mathematics G5 (Curriculum/Contest)

• Mathematics G6 (Curriculum/Contest)

• Mathematics G7 (Curriculum/Contest)

• Mathematics G8 (Curriculum/Contest)

• Mathematics G9 (Curriculum/Contest)

• Mathematics G10 (Curriculum/Contest)

• Mathematics G11 (Curriculum/Contest)

• Mathematics G12 (Curriculum/Contest)

Qualification:

• Cleared Vulnerable Sector Check within the last 6 months (must)

• Finish Undergrad in a 4 year program or 5th year in a teaching program (must)

• Some teaching experience (must)

• Some Postgrad Experience (an asset)

Duties:

• Teaching classes of 15-30 students in-person or online

• Using school materials to deliver lessons

• Marking homework and tests

• Recording marks for report cards

Time:

Currently looking for teachers who can teach in-person or online for the fall term (September-January). Classes are usually on weekends and weekday evenings. It is a minimum 4 hours a week and possibly more depending on enrollment.
