Mathematics Teacher
Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Mathematics Teacher to join our educational team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in mathematics and a commitment to fostering a positive learning environment. As a Mathematics Teacher, you will be responsible for educating students in various mathematical concepts, promoting critical thinking, and encouraging a love for learning. This position requires effective communication skills and the ability to adapt teaching methods to meet the diverse needs of students.
Duties
Develop and implement engaging lesson plans that align with curriculum standards.
Educate students on mathematical concepts ranging from basic arithmetic to advanced calculus.
Create a supportive classroom environment that encourages student participation and collaboration.
Assess student progress through regular testing, assignments, and classroom participation.
Provide tutoring and additional support for students who may require extra help in understanding mathematical concepts.
Collaborate with special education staff to accommodate students with diverse learning needs.
Maintain accurate records of student attendance, grades, and performance.
Organize and oversee laboratory activities related to mathematics where applicable.
Communicate effectively with students, parents, and colleagues regarding academic progress and classroom behavior.
Skills
Strong ability to communicate complex mathematical concepts in an understandable manner.
Experience or training in special education is highly desirable.
Proficient in classroom management techniques that foster an inclusive learning environment.
Ability to educate students with varying levels of math proficiency effectively.
Experience in tutoring or providing one-on-one assistance to students is beneficial.
Familiarity with laboratory settings related to mathematics instruction is a plus.
A passion for mathematics and teaching, with the ability to inspire students.

Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $25.00-$30.00 per hour
Expected hours: 4 – 8 per week

Monday to Friday
