About the Role:
We are seeking a talented Model-Based Development (MBD) Developer to join our Aerospace Engineering team. The role involves designing, developing, and validating safety-critical embedded software using Model-Based Design methodologies. The candidate will work with MATLAB/Simulink, Stateflow, and code generation tools to deliver highassurance software for avionics and flight control systems, aligned with industry standards such as DO-178C.
Key Responsibilities:
• Develop and maintain Simulink/Stateflow models for aerospace applications (e.g., flight control, guidance, navigation, and system monitoring).
• Perform Model-in-the-Loop (MIL), Software-in-the-Loop (SIL), and Hardware-in-the-Loop (HIL) simulations to verify and validate designs.
• Generate high-quality embedded C code using Embedded Coder/TargetLink and ensure compliance with DO178C.
• Collaborate with systems engineers to translate requirements into software architecture and models.
• Conduct requirements traceability, model verification, and validation to meet safety-critical standards.
• Support Certification Liaison by preparing documentation and evidence for software qualification.
• Optimize models for real-time execution on aerospace-grade embedded processors.
• Work with integration and test teams to deploy models on avionics hardware platforms.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s/master’s degree in aerospace engineering, Electrical/Electronic Engineering, Computer Science, or related field.
• Proficiency in MATLAB, Simulink, and Stateflow for aerospace software development. • Strong understanding of control systems, guidance & navigation, flight dynamics, or avionics systems.
• Solid knowledge of C programming for embedded real-time systems.
• Hands-on experience with code generation (Embedded Coder, etc.).
• Solid knowledge of RTOS (Real-Time Operating Systems) used in aerospace applications.
• Familiarity with DO-178C objectives and safety-critical development processes.
• Knowledge of communication protocols (e.g., ARINC 429, MIL-STD-1553).
• Strong analytical, debugging, and problem-solving skills.
Preferred Skills:
• Exposure to HIL test platforms (NI, or custom aerospace rigs).
• Familiarity with requirements management tools (DOORS, Polarion, etc.).
• Knowledge of system safety standards (ARP4754A, ARP4761).
• Understanding of cybersecurity in avionics systems.
• Prior experience in flight control systems, UAVs, or cockpit display software
